商貿(mào)金融中心
武漢一直是長(zhǎng)江中游的商貿(mào)金融中心，歷史上流傳著“貨到漢口活”的說(shuō)法。明末清初，漢口就躋身全國(guó)四大名鎮(zhèn)之列，成為“楚中第一繁盛處”。上個(gè)世紀(jì)初，漢口一度成為中國(guó)第二大對(duì)外通商口岸，中國(guó)四大金融中心之一。今天，這座商家必爭(zhēng)之地仍然商賈云集，千街熙攘。目前，全市擁有商業(yè)網(wǎng)點(diǎn)12萬(wàn)余個(gè)，有3家商業(yè)企業(yè)躋身全國(guó)連鎖經(jīng)營(yíng)企業(yè)30強(qiáng)行列，全市社會(huì)消費(fèi)品零售總額突破千億元大關(guān)。法國(guó)“家樂(lè)福”、德國(guó)“麥德龍”、美國(guó)“沃爾瑪”等國(guó)際零售商業(yè)巨頭相繼進(jìn)入武漢，推動(dòng)了武漢商業(yè)貿(mào)易發(fā)展。武漢金融、證卷交易同樣活躍，中國(guó)人民銀行和一批國(guó)有商業(yè)銀行在武漢建立了區(qū)域性的機(jī)構(gòu)，法國(guó)興業(yè)銀行在漢設(shè)立了分行，10多家外國(guó)銀行和保險(xiǎn)公司在武漢設(shè)立了辦事機(jī)構(gòu)。

Wuhan has long been the center of commerce,trade and finance in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.A saying handed down from the past history goes loke this."goods sell well when they reach Hankou".At the turn from Ming Dynasy to Qing Dynasty,Hankou emerged as one of top 4 Famous Towns in China and "the mo st flourishing and bustling place in central China".In the beginning of last century.Hankou was once the second binggest port city in the country and one of China's top 4 financial centers. The city'stotal retail sales of consumer goods surpassed 100 billion RMB yuan.A number of international retail giants including Carrefour of France.Metro of Germany and Wal-Mart of the United States have set up operations in Wuhan one after another and gives great momentum to the loval retail sector.Wuhan'sfinancial sector andother state-owned commercial banks estabilshed regional headquarters in the city. Societe Generale of France has opened its branch band and dozens of other foreign banks and insurers have their ropresentative offices in Wuhan.
